Yesterday was a proud day for Manchester Township, as Mayor Rob Arace and the Township Council recognized Mr. Thurman Pruitt, an exemplary resident who served the Manchester Volunteer Fire Company and the Manchester Volunteer First Aid for an impressive 52 years.

Additionally, Mr. Pruitt was a Manchester Little League coach and mentor. His commitment to his community was previously recognized by the 200 Club of Ocean County, which presented him the Meritorious Service Award.

“I urge all residents of Manchester to join me in expressing our deep appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Thurman Pruitt for his exceptional dedication and service to our community,” reads Mayor Arace’s message in the Proclamation.

From a grateful Manchester Township community, thank you, Mr. Pruitt, for your years of selfless service!
