Councilman Craig Wallis Takes Oath
Welcome, Councilman Craig Wallis, who ceremoniously took his Oath of Office, administered by Mayor Rob Arace, at the February 13, 2023, Township Council meeting. Mr. Wallis fills the vacancy left when former Councilman Samuel Fusaro resigned his seat effective January 15, 2023. The Council solicited applications for the vacancy and interviewed five candidates before selecting Mr. Wallis for the position. Councilman Wallis, who has lived in Manchester Township with his family since 1996, first won election to the Council in 2004. He did not run in the 2022 general election, but decided to seek a return to public service when Mr. Fusaro resigned. "I'd like to thank the Council for welcoming me back," said Councilman Wallis. "It's going to be an exciting year, especially with our new Council President (Roxanne Conniff) and Councilman (Joseph) Hankins. They bring a freshness to this whole organization." Councilman Fusaro Announces Resignation from Township Council
Having served the residents of Manchester Township for 27 years, Councilman Samuel Fusaro has announced that he will resign from his seat on the Township Council effective January 15, 2023, as he and his wife prepare a move out of town. "First, I want to thank all of our residents that helped and voted for me through the years and seven elections. I truly enjoyed walking through the villages and developments talking to our residents while getting petitions," Councilman Fusaro said. "Second, I what to thank all of our employees I have worked with. You all keep the Town moving forward every day. You're the best. Third, I also want to thank the Mayors and members of Council that I worked with. We didn't always agree but definitely made Manchester a better Town." Mayor Arace Takes Oath, Outlines Administration’s Goals at Reorganization Meeting
Incoming Mayor Robert Arace and members of the Township Council outlined their visions for Manchester Township in 2023, as Oaths of Office were administered and plans for the upcoming year were presented during the January 3, 2023, Reorganization Meeting held in the Municipal Complex Courtroom. As the first order of business, Mayor Arace took his Oath Office in front of family, friends, Township employees, and honored guests. "I want to thank every single resident of Manchester Township for trusting me as Mayor," said Mayor Arace in his public remarks. Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony 2022
Thanks to everyone who shared in making our annual #TreeLighting Ceremony yesterday a hit! As always, we were glad to see so many of our neighbors and friends come together to celebrate the holiday season with music, fun, and a special visit from Santa himself. Manchester Recreation never fails to impress, and their 2022 winter wonderland at Town Hall was no exception. This year was extra special as the Township's new holiday tree was ready to make its debut, adorned with 3,400 lights! Mayor Robert Hudak welcomed all those in attendance, and on behalf of all of us at Manchester Township, conveyed warm wishes for a joyful and healthy holiday season.
