Yesterday, Mayor Rob Arace and the Township Council were honored to accept the Outstanding Municipal Partner award on behalf of Manchester Township from the Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey. Making the presentation was Kristine Novakowski, executive director for Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity.
The award was presented in recognition of Manchester Township’s collaborative role in constructing a house on donated land along Route 539 that is now home to a mother and her two daughters.
“What Habitat for Humanity was able to do for this family is really incredible,” said Council President Roxanne Conniff. “It was a really amazing thing to see the community come together for this project.”
Manchester Township was recognized as an Outstanding Municipal Partner for assisting with the lot consolidation and permitting process, as well as ensuring the safe delivery of the modular home delivered from Normandy Beach. We wish many happy memories to this deserving family in their new home here in Manchester Township! Thank you to everyone who assisted with this special and worthwhile project!
