Council Vacancy
MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP TOWNSHIP COUNCIL MEMBER – Resumes are being accepted by the Manchester Township Council for the purpose of filling a vacancy created by the appointment of one of its members as Mayor, for the un-expired term that ends on December 31, 2026. Interested candidates should note that they will be appointed to the position until December 31, 2025 but will be required to run in the November 4, 2025 general election to fulfill the remainder of the unexpired term. January 6th, 2025 Manchester Planning Board Meeting Cancelled
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Re-Organization Meeting and the Regular Meeting of the Manchester Planning Board, on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 6:00 PM is cancelled. A new meeting date has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 6:00 PM for both the Re-Organization Meeting and the Regular Meeting.
Manchester Township Council Reorganizes for 2025
The Manchester Township Council on January 2, 2025, voted to retain Roxanne Conniff as its President, and James A. Vaccaro Sr. as Vice President for the new year during the governing body's Reorganization Meeting held in the Municipal Complex Courtroom. Prior to the public meeting, Councilmembers Craig Wallis, Michele Zolezi, and Vice President Vaccaro, took their Oaths of Office, all having won re-election during the November 2024 general election. Mayor Rob Arace, who previously announced that he will resign his position following his election to the Ocean County Board of Commissioners, addressed those in attendance, thanking Manchester's residents for the opportunity to serve them. "We've done really amazing work. In the last two years, I'd like to say we've done more work in town than we've done in many years prior," he said. Honoring Those Who Served on Veterans Day
Continuing a proud annual tradition in Manchester Township, our hometown United States Service Members were honored during a moving Veterans Day ceremony outside of Town Hall on November 11, 2024. "It is often easy to think that our freedoms are a given, to think of them as constant," said Mayor Rob Arace during his keynote address. "On days like today, we're reminded that those freedoms have been fought for with the utmost bravery and conviction.” Following the introduction of the proceedings by Roger P. Grenier, chairman of Manchester Township’s Veterans Advisory Committee, honored guest State Senator Carmen Amato next offered remarks and presented a Veterans Day resolution issued by the State Senate and General Assembly. “You answered that call. Public Auction of Real Property
Please be advised that Manchester Township, a municipality in Ocean County New Jersey, will be offering two properties for sale to the highest bidder. Anyone wishing to bid must deliver, on or before, 10am on Monday November 3, 2025, a sealed bid with their best offer for the property. Bids must be addressed to Teri Giercyk, Manchester Township Municipal Clerk, and must clearly state on the outside of the envelope that it is a sealed bid, for Property A, or Property B, to be opened at 10am on November 3, 2025. If anyone is bidding on both properties, each bid must be in a separate sealed envelope. Each bid must contain the following information:
- Name, Address, email and phone number of the bidder.
- The total amount being offered for the property.
- A certified check, cashiers check or money order for 10% of the total amount offered.
