September 11 Commemoration Ceremony

On Sunday, September 11, 2022, in commemoration of the 21st anniversary of the September 11th attacks and in honor of those lives lost, as well as to recognize the bravery and sacrifice of our fellow Americans that day and in the years to follow, Mayor Robert Hudak, Council President Joan Brush, Chief of Police Robert Dolan, Volunteer Fire Company members, and special guests joined our residents for a remembrance ceremony at the Whiting Volunteer Fire House. We paused this morning, all of these years later, to reflect upon those lives lost on that fateful day and in the days and years that followed. Some were lost as they went about their everyday lives. 2022 Memorial Day Ceremony

Year after year, we are always proud to see the tremendous support from so many in our community on Memorial Day. This morning's commemoration at Grand Army Memorial Park, Pine Lake Park, to honor those who bravely gave everything while serving our Country was moving, as always. During his keynote address, Mayor Robert Hudak honored the many service members, including residents of Manchester Township, who made the ultimate sacrifice or have suffered the loss of a loved one while in service to our Country. "Our duty is not only to keep their memory, but the cause for which they gave their lives," said Mayor Hudak. "We should not simply remember our beloved dead for a few moments today, but live our lives in service to others. It is important we seek opportunities to give back, and perpetuate the cause of freedom." Joining Mayor Hudak at the ceremony were [...]

Mayor Arace Issues Proclamations

Mayor Rob Arace was honored to present two Proclamations at the April 24, 2023, Township Council meeting in recognition of individuals who work tirelessly in betterment of our community!

First, Clerk Teri Giercyk accepted a Proclamation recognizing Professional Municipal Clerks Week. Teri and her staff play a critical role in our Township, serving “as the information center on functions of local government and community.”

Next, the Mayor recognized our Public Safety Telecommunicators, presenting a Proclamation to Supervisor Stephanie Norton. PSTs are often referred to as the “first, first responders” who answer calls for help, obtain accurate information, and coordinate the appropriate response.
Take a look at the attached Proclamations for more details on what our Office of the Clerk and Communications Section do for our residents! Thank you to these dedicated professionals for serving our Township!
