Mayor Joseph Hankins and members of the Township Council had the honor of joining with our first responders and community partners for the groundbreaking of a well-deserved home for Army Sergeant First Class Bertalan Gonci!

Through the Building Homes for Heroes program, Lennar and several local partners will construct a home for SFC Gonci, who served his country for 20 years before honorably and medically retiring in 2017. We invite you to learn about SFC Gonci’s heroic story in the below image.

“Today’s event is made possible by the strong partnership we built in Manchester Township alongside Lennar and the incredible organization Building Homes for Heroes. Their shared commitment to our Veterans is inspiring, and we are deeply grateful for this collaboration,” said Mayor Hankins.

Also in attendance were Ocean County Commissioner Robert Arace, members of the Manchester Police, and our volunteer and career first responders. Thank you, SFC Gonci, for your dedicated service to our country, and we look forward to the special day you and your loved ones can enjoy your new home!
