Manchester Enters New Cost-Saving Energy Aggregation Contract
Projects Average Savings of 7.1 Percent Compared to JCP&L’s Rate Mayor Robert Hudak and the Township Council are pleased to announce that a new third party energy aggregation contract, approved during a special Township Council meeting on July 13, 2021, will continue the savings residents have come to expect on their electricity bills since the implementation of the Manchester Community Energy Aggregation Program in 2017. While JCP&L will continue to provide their quality service to our residents, electricity will be delivered by Energy Harbor LLC. at a lower cost thanks to the bulk purchasing rate accepted by the Council. Manchester Township’s current contract with energy supplier Constellation is set to expire in October, so bids for a new contract were recently solicited. Manchester Councilman Robert Hudak Appointed Mayor
Councilman Robert Hudak was appointed Manchester Township’s new mayor following the recent resignation of former Mayor Kenneth Palmer, who was appointed to a superior court judgeship. Hudak was appointed through a unanimous vote by the Township Council at a council meeting on June 28th. “I am honored that the council chose me to be the next mayor of Manchester Township. I am looking forward to working with all of you and I think we will continue to do great things for the township,” Hudak said after being sworn in as Mayor. “Hudak brings a wealth of experience in government service.” said Councilman Sam Fusaro, who nominated Hudak. “His experience in numerous towns throughout New Jersey provides him with a great perspective.” Hudak was first elected to the council in 2019 to fill an unexpired term. Town Hall OPEN Monday, June 21, 2021
The Township of Manchester is pleased to announce that municipal buildings will reopen to the public effective June 21, 2021. It is asked that visitors who are not vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus please wear a face covering and maintain social distancing when inside Township buildings. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our Township offices remained fully staffed and functional even while buildings were closed to the public out of an abundance of caution. Our employees did an exemplary job in finding ways to continue to provide high quality service to our residents during this challenging time! We are eager to welcome back our residents to stop in to utilize our services in-person!
Manchester’s Summer Concerts Kick-Off on June 26th
Mayor Kenneth T. Palmer and the Township Council are proud to announce our Recreation Department has scheduled five Summer Concerts in this year’s “ConcertFest 2021” line-up. All concerts are at the Harry Wright Lake band shell in Whiting. WJRZ Radio 100.1 will open each concert at 5 p.m. Our ‘Kick-Off Summer Concert’ is Saturday, June 26th, with “Total Soul” performing live at 6:30 p.m. On Wednesday, July 14th, Julian & Dominique will perform at 6 p.m. and “AM Gold” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 28th, Stiletto & the Saxman at 6 p.m. and “The Cameos” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 11th, Gerard Esposito at 6 p.m. and ‘Stoneflower’ Santana Tribute Band at 7:30 p.m. And the final concert for 2021 will be on Wednesday, August 25th, with “The Jukebox Legends” at 6 p.m. and “British Invasion Years” at 7:30 p.m. Manchester Township will host FIREWORKS at dark to wrap-up the [...]

In observance of Juneteenth Manchester town hall buildings will be closed on June 16th.
