Continuing a proud annual tradition in Manchester Township, our hometown United States Service Members were honored during a moving Veterans Day ceremony at Town Hall on November 11, 2022. "Today we honor and celebrate those who served and returned home, and their families, and their service. We can thank the millions of Americans who strengthen our nation with their example of service and sacrifice," said Mayor Robert Hudak during his keynote address. "Long after their discharge, many of our veterans continue to contribute to our community," the Mayor continued, noting that many transitioned to roles of service as First Responders. Roger P. On Sunday, September 11, 2022, in commemoration of the 21st anniversary of the September 11th attacks and in honor of those lives lost, as well as to recognize the bravery and sacrifice of our fellow Americans that day and in the years to follow, Mayor Robert Hudak, Council President Joan Brush, Chief of Police Robert Dolan, Volunteer Fire Company members, and special guests joined our residents for a remembrance ceremony at the Whiting Volunteer Fire House. We paused this morning, all of these years later, to reflect upon those lives lost on that fateful day and in the days and years that followed. Some were lost as they went about their everyday lives.
