Renovated Tuskegee Airmen Park Re-Opens
Thank you to everyone who joined Mayor Joseph Hankins, members of the Township Council, Public Works employees, Manchester Police officers, and Veterans Advisory Committee members for the grand re-opening ribbon cutting ceremony at the remarkable Tuskegee Airmen Park this afternoon! It was inspiring to see our community gather to celebrate the renewed park, named in honor of the heroic African-American Airmen who served with distinction during World War II. Among those in attendance was Ann Edwards, who championed the park's opening in 2004. Ms. Edwards' memories of that opening ceremony included appearances from Tuskegee Airmen and a flyover by military aircraft! Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, Mayor Hankins delivered remarks praising the park, located near Manchester Township Middle School. "Certainly, Al Yodakis and our Manchester Township Public Works crew did a fantastic job," the Mayor said. Please be advised that Manchester Township, a municipality in Ocean County New Jersey, will be offering two properties for sale to the highest bidder. Anyone wishing to bid must deliver, on or before, 10am on Monday November 3, 2025, a sealed bid with their best offer for the property. Bids must be addressed to Teri Giercyk, Manchester Township Municipal Clerk, and must clearly state on the outside of the envelope that it is a sealed bid, for Property A, or Property B, to be opened at 10am on November 3, 2025. If anyone is bidding on both properties, each bid must be in a separate sealed envelope. Each bid must contain the following information:
- Name, Address, email and phone number of the bidder.
- The total amount being offered for the property.
- A certified check, cashiers check or money order for 10% of the total amount offered.
