MANCHESTER NJ – The Manchester Township Environmental Commission will be hosting a 50th Anniversary “Earth Day Birthday” Celebration on Friday, April 17, 2020 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm outside of the Manchester Town Hall Complex at 1 Colonial Drive.
The event is free and will have a number of exhibitors for visitors to speak and interact with. There will be a short program, music and a birthday cake cutting to mark the 50 years since the first Earth Day was recognized.
Our list of exhibitors is growing by the day and includes: Ocean County Recycling, Save Barnegat Bay, Master Gardeners of Ocean County, Barnegat Bay Partnership, Manchester Department of Public Works, Ocean County Soil Conservation District and Pinelands Preservation Alliance to name a few.
Food will be available for purchase from the delicious Cubano X-Press Food Truck (vegetarian options available) and Mister Softee Ice Cream, Shakes and Sundaes.
There will be electric vehicles on display and the Manchester Township Department of Public Works will hold their Annual Forestry Service Tree Give Away on this day. A rain date is set for Monday, April 20, 2020.
