Thank you to everyone who made Manchester Day 2016 a huge success!
This annual tradition, held on June 25, 2016, at Harry Wright Lake, brought together members of the community for a day of fun, socializing, and celebration.
The opening ceremonies were held at 12 p.m., with Councilmen James Vaccaro, Samuel Fusaro, and Charles Frattini joining Department of Recreation Director Tracey Lynch and Business Administrator Donna Markulic as they kicked things off. Throughout the day, families were treated to free rides and games for kids, contests, kayak races, musical performances, and vendors selling goods and food. This year’s headlining musicians were “Julian and Dominique” and “Tusk,” the Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band. Capping off the day’s activities was a spectacular fireworks display over the waters of Harry Wright Lake. New this year was a live K9 demonstration by Ptl. Steven Wendruff and his K9 partner Lynk of the Manchester Township Police Department.
“Manchester Day is a great opportunity for our families to come together and have fun as a community,” said Director Lynch. “I hope that all of our residents had the chance to create some special memories with their families and neighbors.”
