Thanks to everyone who shared in making our annual #TreeLighting Ceremony a hit!
As always, we were glad to see so many of our neighbors and friends come together to celebrate the holiday season with music, fun, and a special visit from Santa himself. The Manchester Recreation Department never fails to impress, creating a winter wonderland each year at Town Hall!
As Ken Palmer, Mayor of Manchester, reminded us in his remarks, the holiday season is a special time to come together with friends, family, and our community. Sharing that sentiment, we’re thankful for everyone who attended and shared in this special event!
Special guests included Council President Joan Brush, Councilman James Vaccaro, and Councilman Robert Hudak, as well as Reverend Rittinger who offered the opening Invocation. Holiday performances were given by the Manchester High School Chamber Ensemble, Manchester School Chorus, the Singing Raconteurs, Marisiya Goins and Cassidy Gobel.
A special “Thank You!” goes out to Joe Tomei, Pines at Whiting, Crestwood Manor, Complete Care Whiting, AristaCare at Whiting, Manchester First Aid, Manchester Social and Senior Services, Manchester Municipal staff, Manchester Volunteer Fire Department, and Manchester Buildings and Grounds staff.
We wish everyone a very happy and healthy holiday season!
