Renovated Tuskegee Airmen Park Re-Opens
Thank you to everyone who joined Mayor Joseph Hankins, members of the Township Council, Public Works employees, Manchester Police officers, and Veterans Advisory Committee members for the grand re-opening ribbon cutting ceremony at the remarkable Tuskegee Airmen Park this afternoon! It was inspiring to see our community gather to celebrate the renewed park, named in honor of the heroic African-American Airmen who served with distinction during World War II. Among those in attendance was Ann Edwards, who championed the park's opening in 2004. Ms. Edwards' memories of that opening ceremony included appearances from Tuskegee Airmen and a flyover by military aircraft! Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, Mayor Hankins delivered remarks praising the park, located near Manchester Township Middle School. "Certainly, Al Yodakis and our Manchester Township Public Works crew did a fantastic job," the Mayor said.
